Marsh Lake Community Hall
Marsh Lake is located in the Yukon Territories, this small hamlet required a mechanical design for their community hall. Not having civil services in the area such as sewage and water, this project presented itself as a unique challenge.
Pumps were installed to supply the center with water from a local well while sanitary services were to be handled by a local septic system which required special care during design and installation.
Utilizing heat recovery ventilation units, this technology allows for high efficiencies in operating the building air handling system thus dramatically reducing utility costs. Heating is achieved with a hydronic system serving radiant and cabinet units heaters located throughout the building.
Despite the remote location of the community hall this building is extremely modern designed with high efficiency equipment serving the community of Marsh Lake.
