ES Engineering was retained by Humford Development as the prime consultant to review the mechanical system of the existing Parkwest Business Centre. Recommendations have been made to replace the old, inefficient cooling units with new high efficiency rooftop units. A large challenge was that a certain amount of cooling needed to be maintained in the building during the project. This requirement demanded simultaneous removal and installation of equipment to minimize disturbing the cooling load as much as possible. As well, just like any project, precise coordination and communication was vital between all active parties.
