ES Engineering was retained to design mechanical services for RBC Tower renovation as well as the project administration. The renovation of the 15th floor required mechanical services including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, and fire protection as well as controls which were tie-in to the existing building DDC controls system. Coordination between several other disciplines such as electrical engineers and architects was required to design a complete mechanical system serving the entire floor. Existing equipment was integrated into the design so that they work as efficiently as possible, as well as removing the need to purchase additional equipment.
