Southgate Mall

With large structures such as Southgate Mall, the refrigeration system required is substantially large. As a result of this, so is the amount of refrigerant present. To prevent any injury to personnel, the exhaust and ventilation system must properly evacuate any refrigerant leaked from the mechanical system. A review of the mechanical system at Southgate mall was required to determine if the latest refrigerant safety code requirements are met.

A mechanical layout was designed to install a new hot water heater tank in one of the mall's anchor stores. A new gas line was required to be run a considerable distance to be able to serve the new hot water heater.

Design for the replacement of a cooling tower was required. As a critical component to the mall's air conditioning system, the new cooling tower required precise and accurate drawings to properly coordinate and install this vital piece of equipment.
