Strathcona County Community Halls Geothermal Feasibility Study


Due to the variety of community halls located throughout the Country, a typical facility was allowed for. This typical facility consists of 3,250 square feet of floor space on the main floor and the same for the basement, with approximately 10% of the wall area being windows. This facility includes a male and female washroom and a small kitchen area. The typical facility comprises of a gas fired mid-efficiency forced air furnace and a gas fired domestic hot water heater. Utilizing a modern geothermal system including several heat pumps and heat recovery ventilators, this project is a prime example of a modern and efficient means to building climate control.
