geothermal

The Alberta Carpenters building required an energy efficient geothermal system to help heat and cool this very diverse building. Offices, classrooms, computer rooms, and shop areas all have different types of heating, cooling, and ventilation demands. The geothermal system installed serves all of these areas. Rather than having a conventional mechanical system, a geothermal system consumes less energy to operate than a conventional mechanical system meaning reduced utility costs and a smaller carbon footprint. In addition to air systems, a complete plumbing system was designed to serve the entire building. A few of the services that were designed include hot and cold water, sanitary lines, roof drains, floor drains, and condensate lines.
