Utilizing a modern geothermal system including several heat pumps and heat recovery ventilators, this project is a prime example of a modern and efficient means to building climate control. Not only was a complete geothermal system designed but the entire plumbing system throughout the building was designed as well.
The headquarters for the Edmonton branch of this community planning company required a plumbing, heating, and cooling system designed. In a modern building with extensive glass work throughout, this creates large solar heat gains. A mechanical system was designed that takes advantage of this natural heat in winter and minimizes its effects in summer.
In addition to this energy saving equipment, geothermal energy is utilized to further reduce utility costs. The result is a supremely efficient mechanical design that works efficiently year round.
